In my learning 3D proces I accidently found Douglas Fir.
After building the boat and proofing that Virtual Sailor has a very good hydro mechanical structure, I found the original designer of Douglas Fir, and got exclusive permission to make some of his designs available for VS and VSF. Technical and other details are enclosed in the zip file as 2 seperate pdf files. The file power-boat-design-form-and-function is concerning hydrostatica. The VSF version may have a higher speed due to some automation of the program. In VS this little work horse does exactly 20 knots, as calculated in the pdf.

This VOR70 was first build as a private project to have a VOR70 for VSF in addition to the VOR60 for VS.
Since then a VOR70 was added for VS.
The VOR70 types are very popular for their speed and performance.
And a VOR70 was not yet available for VSF.
So these VOR70's are made for VSF! VS can not handle animation, required to make the fins move.
These VOR70's have animated front fins (ctrl-a to switch)
Ropework is not as good as the VS models, and lack of information made me decide to add the instruments I like rather than gamble for the original.
These sailboats are for VSF only, some parts do not work in VS!

This ship is a fictional VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier)of the Turnbull Scott Shipping Co.
It has been re-worked for Vehicle Simulator from my Redgate for Virtual Sailor now with opening Bridge doors, improved texturing of many parts, a droppable port anchor,(does not actually anchor the vessel, for visuals only).It still has my trademark machinery control room from where you can stop and start the engine. The contol room stays 'lit' at night and there are lights in the accomodation windows.
I have added a heli-pad. To land on it change 'has_deck' in the design from the menu in game from '0' to '1'. The height of the deck is set.
Installation is simple but read the 'readme installation'.
Also Please read the 'readme' for more information about the model and operating instructions.
EDIT: Use Ctrl+C to operate sliding doors.
