I tried to use semi Photo realistic textures, but because of the way the model was made, this is rather hard to do. although i must say it looks a lot better like this then it did before

This is a model of a 12'6" Northumbrian Coble designed by Paul Fisher of Selway Fisher Yacht Design (www.selway-fisher.com).

The face count is quite low compared to many boats out there now - around 10500 faces including the sail and rudder. You shouldn't have much problem running a whole fleet of them. If you are very hard pressed for video memory then you could reduce the size of some of the textures, but of course then you'd loose the lovely sharp definition of the stitching on the sail.

Cobles are traditional fishing and foying vessels from northeastern England and southwestern Scotland. The very wide strakes are characteristic of the designs.
